Gastrin is a linear peptide. It is a gastrointestinal hormone, produced by G cells in the stomach.Gastrin plays a major role in parietal cell function, gastric epithelial cell multiplication and differentiation. Gastrin I, Human 10047-33-3, is a synthetic linear peptide hormone that stimulates gastric acid secretion by the parietal cells and delays gastric emptying. It acts as a modulator in maintaining and organizing gastric mucosa. It is produced in the stomach and stimulates gastric acid secretion.
